Nithyananda Vedic Temple of Montclair celebrated Makar Sankranti on January 18th, 2010 with a special abishekam of 108 different items for Lord Venkateshwara (Balaji), Lord Anandeshwara (Shiva) and Devi Anandeshwari (Parvarti). Sankranti is celebrated when there is a transition from one zodiac sign to another because of the movement of the earth.
The temple welcomed many visitors and devotees for the grand event, which was celebrated with abhishekam of 108 items, including a wide variety of fruit juices.
